Quickstart

From nothing to a lock anyone can verify, in about a minute. You need a wallet, the token you want to lock, and a small amount of the chain's gas token.

1. Pick your chain

The switcher at the top of every page chooses between Robinhood Chain and Arc. Everything reads from whichever is selected, so check it before you start. The same token address means different things on different chains, or nothing at all.

2. Connect a wallet

Any standard wallet works. If it is on the wrong network the button says so and switches you over rather than letting a transaction fail.

3. Fill in the lock

Open the lock page and give it four things:

  • The token. Paste its contract address. The symbol, decimals and your balance are read from the token itself, so a wrong address shows nothing rather than guessing.
  • The amount. Max fills in your whole balance.
  • Who receives it. Yourself by default, or any address you name.
  • The schedule. A cliff is how long before anything can be claimed, and the vesting period is how long the rest takes to release after that. Set vesting to None for a straight lock that releases everything at once.

There is a toggle for a transferable vault if you want the position to be sellable while it vests. That costs more, so it is off by default.

4. Approve, then lock

Two or three signatures, depending on the chain. One lets the contract move the exact amount you are locking, which is how every ERC-20 deposit works. On Robinhood Chain there is a second approval for the fee, which is charged in USDG rather than the gas token so the price stays put in dollars. On Arc the fee is the currency you already pay gas in, so that step does not exist. The last signature creates the lock, and after it your tokens sit in a vesting wallet created for this lock alone.

The app checks you hold enough of the fee token before any of this and says so plainly if you do not, rather than letting you pay for approvals and then watch the lock fail.

5. Share the proof

You get a public page that reads live from the chain, with no wallet needed to view it. That is the thing to post, because the reader can check it rather than take your word for it. There is a downloadable card on the page as well, which travels further on social media than a bare link.

Before you sign, check the beneficiary address and the dates. There is no owner, no support desk and no undo. The property that stops anyone interfering with your lock also stops anyone fixing a typo in it.
